Building Regs Plans Approved – Wigan

Recently, we were assigned to design a new 3m extension for our client in Wigan. Joined with the existing footprint, this will provide them with a large open-plan area, giving them the extra living/entertaining space, they are looking for. 

As a priority, we were tasked to design a rear extension that becomes part of the outdoor space within the warmer summer months, thereby giving the client the indoor-outdoor living-style, they desired. To do this, we incorporated a sleek set of bi-folding doors that overlook the garden. 

 

We also included apex glazing above the bi-fold doors which runs to the underside of the vaulted roof. This feature provides some wow-factor within the open-plan space, as well as maximising natural daylight. The design of the complex apex steel frame acts to support the apex window above the bi-fold, whilst providing stability for the whole roof. 

We issued detailed building regulation drawings to our client, within the allotted two-week period. This means they are now able to obtain precise quotes for the building works. We look forward to seeing the results of this exciting project!
