We conducted a full site survey, assessed existing structural conditions, and explored multiple layout options. The final concept included a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, additional bedrooms, and improved natural light, all seamlessly integrated into the existing structure.
Design Development
Once the vision was clear, our architectural team developed detailed plans using Revit BIM technology, ensuring precision and clarity. The proposed design featured:

Construction Phase
With approvals in place, construction began. Btw Joinery Construction & Landscapes coordinated every aspect, from groundworks to final finishes. Key highlights included:
- Foundation works: 600mm wide, 250mm thick, with a minimum depth of 900mm.
- Drainage upgrades: New inspection chambers, 100mm UPVC pipes laid to 1:40 falls, and concrete encasement for durability.
Steelwork installation: Ridge beams and support beams fitted to structural engineer specifications.
Roofing: Marley Modern interlocking tiles, breathable felt, and lead flashings per LDA guidelines.
We ensured all work met BS standards, including fire resistance, thermal performance, and acoustic insulation.
Interior Fit-Out
Inside, the transformation was just as impressive. The new layout included:
A bright and airy kitchen-dining space with French doors to the garden.
Two additional bedrooms with en-suite options.
A dedicated home office for remote working.
Upgraded bathrooms with modern fittings and efficient ventilation.
We used Celotex and Kingspan insulation, Pilkington Energikare double glazing, and low-voltage lighting to enhance comfort and efficiency.
Client Collaboration
Throughout the build, we maintained close communication with Btw Joinery Construction & Landscapes. Which included weekly updates and design reviews ensured transparency and satisfaction. We also accommodated changes and custom requests, such as:
- Bespoke architraves and skirting
